Softball Tourney A Big Hit
The Waimea community enjoyed some exciting softball action while pitching in to help local keiki. Proceeds from the tournament helped fund the Waimea High School Project Graduation effort. “Project Grad” provides safe activities for seniors the night of and morning after graduation.
The three-day tournament was held at the Waimea Ball Park from April 15 to 17 (photos are from April 16 action) and featured four teams: Outlaws, F.O.C.U.S., Poison and Youngbloods.
Tournament organizers also held a swap meet on the 16th as a way to raise additional funds through vendor participation fees.
