Paradise Ride Rolls On

By MidWeek Kaua’i Staff

More than 75 bicyclists spent the Aug. 6-7 weekend pedaling feverishly toward a collective goal. While there was no trophy per se, the Paradise Ride Kaua’i served as a fundraiser for Malama Pono Health Services, a nonprofit organization providing a full range of services to the island community including HIV/AIDS prevention and educational programs, as well as case management and support for affected families. The two-day ride encompassed approximately 110 miles with riders having the option to customize their own trek based on ability and approach after departing from and returning to Island School each day.
