Mystery Shopper Winner Laverne Corpuz Wins $100 Safeway Gift Card

LaVerne Corpuz was the grateful recipient of a $100 Safeway gift certificate recently, just by answering MidWeek Kaua’i‘s simple question correctly. The gracious winner is excited to spend the extra money on diapers and baby supplies for her 2-year-old granddaughter, ZharaLei.

LaVerne, who has two sons, Melvin Jr. and Lance, shops at the Kapa’a store about three times a month when she’s in town visiting family.

“I love looking for local people,” says the Ele’ele resident when asked what she likes most about MidWeek Kaua’i. She also enjoys reading about featured businesses, perusing the advertisements and checking for recipes.
